Evening Light on the Remarkables Misty and cloudy on the mountains... from this far away, it looks like a mist is blowing across the tops of the mountains. It makes it all appear more dramatic than perhaps it really is while you are there. But I guess there is this idea of relative drama. If you are actually there on the mountain, it's probably quite mild and pretty. But, from way back here, dozens of miles away, it looks much more intense. - Trey Ratcliff Read the rest of this entry here at the Stuck in Customs blog.
Downtown Seattle After arriving in Seattle, I immediately went to this spot to grab a photo. I barely made it in time. I had about 30 minutes of full light left before this scene began. It gave me just enough time to set up and frame everything with the right settings. I guess "last minute" sound a little dramatic, but, really, for me, I like to have some extra time to make sure all my settings are right before that magic moment hits. - Trey Ratcliff The rest of this entry and a new short video are here at the Stuck in Customs blog.
The Louvre in Heavy Clouds People are always around this thing! If you've been there, then you know what I mean... getting a clean shot is almost impossible, unless you visit just after sunrise. In this case, I don't photoshop out the people, but I minimize them... so the photo isn't really about the people, it's about the Louvre. But, with a wide angle lens, you have to get right up on the thing. - Trey Ratcliff From the blog post here at stuckincustoms.com
