These boulders in Moeraki are beautiful any time of the day, but morning is the best time to get this kind of light. Since it faces the ocean to the east, that morning sun comes blasting out right behind them. Here’s a shot that was taken out the window of Choopy’s chopper as Tom and I were flying around back behind Lake Wakatipu. I love seeing the crazy shapes of all these mountains. I used to have that double-major in Geophysics, so I took a ton of Geology classes. But I don’t remember everything… so, I see cool shapes like this, and I only know about 75% of how they were formed… this is a little frustrating, but I kind of like using that mysterious 25% bit to wonder a little.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
