My favorite place in Arrowtown? Yes. Should you go there? Absolutely! There is not even a sign for this place… you kind of have to keep walking down tiny little streets until you see a little blue door. Go inside – you must! It's probably the best secret pub in the world… It's amazing and there is an incredible fireplace that is super-cozy. It's a little bit underground too, which makes it feel ultra-cozy.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
Trees in Yosemite I’m not really an “expert” on Yosemite by any means! I’ve only been there once, and I know there are many photographers that have been there 5 or 10 or more times! I spent most of my time driving around the main roads and going off on little mini-hikes. But I didn’t really know the best places to go… so I would hike along little creeks and get shots like this.I remember I did a little walk to a place called “Mirror Lake” or something. It sounded so awesome from the name! But then I got there, and it was just a puddle of ice. I felt ripped off! They should change the name of it every hour depending on what it currently looks like. There’s no way I would have walked to “Dirty Ice Ugly Lake."- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
This is the beautiful and fully functional sheep station just across the lake from Queenstown. There's no doubt that this country definitely has a sheep-culture around it, and I'm slowly starting to become one with it. Here's a little funny (in retrospect) story. My neighbor, John, has several sheep on his farm. One day, he decided to take one of the cute baby lambs up to the school for all the four and five year-olds to play with. My daughter was there, as was his son. So he dropped off the baby lamb to play all day. A few hours later, he got a call and had to go back up to the school to get the lamb. It just plopped over dead while all the kids were playing with it! So then he had to go back up there and get the dead sheep and carry it about a kilometer down the road back to his truck, leaving the kids aghast and shattered!- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
