StuckInCustoms > Secret Meetings in Hollywood This photo was taken in Los Angeles (Santa Monica to be exact) after I got finished with one of those Hollywood Power-Lunches you always hear about. StuckInCustoms > Your Road Ahead While in New Zealand, we took a series of roads in the south island to go out into the country for an afternoon of archery. On the way there, the roads became less and less robust, and smaller roads would peel off in different directions. I spotted this road and pulled over to take a shot. This one called for the 70-200mm lens to get that interesting compression factor.The archery was a lot of fun. We visited a little farm, and a 10-year-old girl was running the archery bit. My 9-year-old, Ethan, took a liking to her. So that she could better understand him, he did his best to put on his fake New Zealand accent.At one point, she asked Ethan, with eyes wide, "Oh, I've always wanted to visit America. Tell me! But, when you are sitting up high on a mountain, in a castle-mansion, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, how could you not get spoiled?And this isn't even the main castle. Every elite store you can think of is fully represented, and the designers have pulled out all the stops to make sure they get noticed.Although not on the main street, this amazing Mikimoto store grabbed my eye. StuckInCustoms > Camper Vans in New Zealand So, I am NOT a “Camper Van” kinda guy. I don’t own an RV, and I never even really liked them very much. Maybe I was used to the giant US versions of these things… ponderously heavy and scary. The NZ Campers are not quite like that.I got one of the biggest campers, but it still was not as huge as the American ones, which is a good thing. StuckInCustoms > Kea Campers in New Zealand While I was in New Zealand, I got up close and personal with my Kea Camper. That thing was my home for almost a month, and my wife, two kids, and I lived the heck out of it. Before the trip, I did a lot of research to find the best one... I wasn't disappointed. In fact, I liked it so much, I grabbed a bunch of pics of it! I'll add them to the New Zealand Campers page in a bit. I will also add a bunch more information on there about suggested routes, tips, tricks, and more. StuckInCustoms > A Night with Harley
These bikes are really a fun subject for photography. I get excited every time I head out for one of these events. There are so many styles, customizations, and characters behind them... you never see the same thing twice.

Setting up for these photos is also somewhat of a fun challenge. Getting the right "background" is very important to me... sometimes it just does not work out, so I have to move on and leave a pretty bike alone. The other thing about these bikes, which you don't realize until you take thousands of photos of them, is that you probably only have a 12.5% chance of getting a good composition and background. I break it down thusly:
