We were on the outskirts of the Forbidden City then went into a temple area and there were about 20 couples taking their wedding photos. It was so funny to see everyone posing and all the photographers taking photos. They were all trying to find angles where they wouldn't see the other couples. The men wore the craziest tuxedos, but the girls mostly had on really pretty dresses. I took this one while she was moving from one position to the next.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
I love Moroccan lamps! I love them so much that I bought nine of them while I was in Fes and had them shipped back here. Now that was a real fiasco because of customs. I think I paid about $500 for the lamps and $600 just to get them in the country! It's so maddening… I know that the name of this blog is Stuck In Customs, but that was meant to be a bit playful… now all that seems to be Stuck In Customs is my lamps and my money!- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
The Lamp in Hakone The entire time I was in Hakone, it would not stop raining. This is not a great thing, when you finally make it to a place you are very excited about and there is a torrential downpour. So what to do? Well I didn’t want to walk away empty-carded (new word I just made up – feel free to use it!), so I lugged out the umbrella and took a stroll to see what I could find. And now, I’m happy I did.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
