The old town of Lijiang has these old rooflines that go forever to the horizon. Part of the problem getting up above the roofline is, well, getting up above the roofline. You have to head a bit out of town and walk up a hill to get this perspective. Lijiang, China
I loved everything about Cologne… except for my train ride back to Dusseldorf. My whole camera bag was stolen! Can you believe it? I was distracted and before I knew it, my whole camera bag was swiped in a grab n' run! What a bummer! I still was holding my tripod and A7r, so I didn't lose those, luckily. But I did lost an A7ii, two Leica lenses, and a Sony lens. Ouch! Oh well, it's just stuff… But kind of inconvenient now, you know? Ah well… I filed out a police report and everything. We're checking on insurance now to see what was covered… fingers crossed but I have low expectations! Cologne, Germany
After a super-long day, I decided to make it super-longer by joining all the TBEX crew over at a party on Centre Island. I’m not a total expert of the-best-places-to-shoot-Toronto, but this area seems good enough! This was a three-photo HDR taken with the Sony NEX-7. I’m still working on that larger story where I compare the NEX-7 to the Nikon D800… that is coming soon… It was quite a rainy night, so between squalls, I ran out there to take a bunch of photos. Since my tripod was lost, I had to borrow a tripod from good man Edgar Van Der Meer. Thanks again Edgar! Toronto, Canada
