While I was at the temple one morning, I saw this girl watching the sunrise nearby me. I asked if I could take a photo. She immediately posed. I found out later, to no great surprise, that she was a model - her name is Leah Muse.

Almost Burning Man Time: Dancing in the Sun

On one of my first mornings, I walked away from my camp towards the middle of the playa. This gypsy was dancing around in the sun and having fun... I smiled and squatted down low to grab a photo.

Mystery Girl at Burning Man So, who is she? I don’t know if this is much of a hint, but she told me she made those horns herself out of glue and bedsheets. That giant pirate ship in the background is actually a huge vehicle that rolls from camp to camp. In the foreground are two of the many people that walk around in the middle of the day with ornate umbrellas.

A fire dancer performs in front of one of the many art displays that is set to burn in just a few hours or so.

I was stuck in the middle of the desert just when a massive sandstorm enveloped everything. I made very slow progress towards my destination. Finally, after about ten minutes of sand-blindness, it opened up a little to reveal the towering Anubis here.

This is the ornate entrance to the gypsy wagon. You can see how ornate and detailed the patterns and lighting is across the facade. And don’t you want to go inside and see what kind of characters have magically appeared?
