Ornate Taxi in Beijing This little taxi reminded me a bit of those crazy Burning Man cars! It parked here for just long enough for me to grab a photo. After it left, I realized that I think wanted a ride in it… but I was too busy getting lost in taking the photo to keep my wits about me.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
This is the ornate entrance to the gypsy wagon. You can see how ornate and detailed the patterns and lighting is across the facade. And don’t you want to go inside and see what kind of characters have magically appeared?
Awesome Car in Tokyo
Tokyo has a bunch of cool cars all over the place. And look at that license plate! How do you get that number? Maybe you have to part of the Japanese mafia or something...I took this photo a long time ago but only recently processed it. In fact, I took it while we were doing the Tokyo workshop. Remember that thing? I only dedicate about 10-15% of my year to "teaching" stuff, since I am so busy with other things. This year I'm working on a bunch of different things to help this scale, however, since it is hard to be everywhere physically at the same time.- Trey RatcliffRead the rest of this entry at the Stuck in Customs blog.
Old Car in Argentina
On one of the final nights in Argentina, I went out to an older area near the town which had recently been flooded. There were many abandoned cars, homes, and other lost things falling apart here and there. It made for a fun series of short hiked from one little abandoned thing to the next.

New York, Yellow Cab
Here is one of my favorite areas of New York. It's right by the famous Flatiron building -- but I obviously did not shoot in that direction here.

There's often a nice traffic flow, and it makes for a fun experiment to time out the traffic. Since I shoot from -2 to +2., I try to predict when the middle exposure will in the right spot to get the right amount of blur on that photo. My rules for this are a little different based on the time of day and a few other factors.

Alone in a Foreign Taxi on a Rainy Night
Many of my travel nights end with a taxi ride back home. I'm usually exhausted after a long day. I may have a snack or a drink that I pick up from a little store... munching away in the back seat... my eyes dart this way and that... not used to moving so fast... and I see little things like this.

The Batmobile On one of my little Texas road trips, I saw this thing on the side of the road and it was worth a turn-around! It kind of makes me want to have an awesome and impractical car like this. Everything else I do in my life is so dang practical...I think I need an impractical car!- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
A Mercedes in Paris While walking along the Champs-Élysées in Paris, I came across this really slick Mercedes dealership. I don't even want to think about what the lease for this space is... but it is super cool. I wonder if they would have let me walk in and take it out for a spin. - Trey Ratcliff Read this entry here at the Stuck in Customs blog.
Play in Beverly Hills, Shop in Beverly Hills Well, those signs pretty much say it all. The city council voted down the less-popular alternatives, "Get Mugged in Beverly Hills, Get Ladyboy Hookers in Beverly Hills". Those were right out. While I was shooting this, a stretch limo pulled up beside me. The driver and I had a nice conversation... He had someone in the back, but the screen was up to keep out noise and wandering eyes. - Trey Ratcliff Read the rest here at the Stuck in Customs blog.
