Old Boats in the Afternoon Maybe I arrived in the low part of the tourist season, but I rarely saw these boats out and about on the river. They were always tied up here on the dockside. This was good for me, since it allowed many easy shots after I got around all the slippery bits. BTW, if you are by a dock in a small town in China, and the dock looks slippery, well it probably is SUPER SLIPPERY. The Long Dock On one of my final nights in San Francisco, I walked out on the dock off the Embarcadero to see what I could see. There were nice views in every direction, and one of the best was looking straight back up the dock at the Transamerica building.This wide-angle 14-24 lens is one of my favorites, but it does have one little problem that can also be an advantage. It takes whatever is in the center of the frame and makes it quite small. The opposite of that happens on the edges, where things get quite spread out. Under the Docks in California Some of you remember the great photowalk we had down in San Clemente. I really had a good time there. On my photowalks, typically I stop from time to time and tell the assembled crowd what I am doing. Well, I finally got a chance to process this quintet!I felt fortunate to have a good friend that had an amazing condo that overlooked this same beach.
