The New Facebook HQ I had a fun afternoon walking around the new Facebook campus when I was recently there. Here’s a quick one! :)- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
White Flower in Desert This is from Burning Man two years ago.I can’t even remember why I set up in this area to take a shot. I was sort of drawn to it. It was so interesting to me. In some ways, it matters why the flowers are there and it doesn’t matter why they are there. And you can say the same thing about every little part of this photo. To me, this is all very nice and I can’t quite put my finger on it.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
Horse in Landscape Remember what I said a few days ago about reasons for no stopping for almost every horse photo in Iceland? Forget I said that. I don't know what I was talking about. Go ahead and stop... I mean, how on earth can you pass this buy? These horses remind me a bit of the sirens in Odysseus, distracting me from my destination... But, really, that analogy falls apart because I had no destination in mind, so I allow myself plenty of wonderful distractions.- Trey RatcliffRead more here at the Stuck in Customs blog.
The Mighty Rocket Awaits Today I had a great day at NASA. I've come back to the space coast in Florida to see the space shuttle Endeavor blast off, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.Around noon, I was invited out with a group of other Twitter peeps to see the RRS Rollback event. This is the slow-motion but exciting time when they peel away to the Rotating Service Structure to reveal the shuttle. It was so awesome that I almost forgot to send a tweet. - Trey Ratcliff Read more here at stuckincustoms.com.
Icelandic Sheepdog Here is another one of these unusual-looking horses from Iceland. When Rebekka took me out to the fjords to go shoot horses, I did not expect that the horses would be nearly so hairy. I was thinking it might have been seasonal because of the cold, but then again, I have very little business determining anything about Icelandic wildlife.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
A Chilly Morning in Boston Common I had an 8 AM meeting in Boston but woke up round 6 to go walk around the Boston Commons and frolic in the snow. There was no frolicking involved. There was a lot of freezing involved, and it reminded me of a bad morning I had in Kiev with a gypsy cab in a blizzard. I wanted to get down to the harbor for some some other sunrise shots, but did not end up with time… but maybe that’s a good thing because it would have been even colder down there!- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
Manhattan Living When I was in New York City, I had the good fortune to spend time with Steve Simon. We had breakfast at this great little French place and then went around to do a bit of shooting. We stopped at his place and went up to the roof. Peering over the side, I saw this and thought it was kinda nice... so I grabbed a quick one.Be sure to visit Steve's site on the link above. He has amazing work and I am sure you will get a kick out of it!- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
