Exploring Battery Park Thanks again to people from New York that suggested we have the PhotoWalk end here in Battery Park. I had never been here before, and it was scenic and nice. There was no crowd there (well, except for us), and we had a very pleasant and relaxing evening.I think this was the final photo I took that evening… I was happy to see it while I was in the middle of saying good-bye to everyone! The Movie Set of New York City I shot this from the Google offices in Manhattan a few weeks ago. Luke and I ended up staying up late at the offices, and we wanted to wait until the sunset rolled through… and when sunset finally came, we discovered that we could not even go outside! All the windows and doors had been nailed shut by security, so there was no chance of getting out. Park and East 42nd in New York City The evening after the big NYC photowalk, I decided to go off on my own and do a bit of shooting. Well, I wasn’t totally on my own. Luke (from here at SIC) was there with me. Fast Action in New York City Speaking of PhotoWalks, I took this photo right after the photowalk in New York City a few weeks ago! I emerged from Grand Central Station and was about to walk across the street when I saw this scene. New York, Yellow Cab Here is one of my favorite areas of New York. It's right by the famous Flatiron building -- but I obviously did not shoot in that direction here. There's often a nice traffic flow, and it makes for a fun experiment to time out the traffic. Since I shoot from -2 to +2., I try to predict when the middle exposure will in the right spot to get the right amount of blur on that photo. The Action of New York City I just finished working on this photo. It was a difficult one, but it was a lot of fun. Shots in Manhattan are often filled with all kinds of complex activity, and Times Square amps that all up to the next order of magnitude. The weather was perfect this day, and I know that isn't always the case. Since everything was more or less idyllic, I decided to make the most of it and see how many compositions I could squeeze into the afternoon.
