These kids were posing machines. They didn't know have like one or two poses - there were hundreds! I could barely keep up. They also loved seeing the photos when they were finished as well... I kind of wish I had a Polaroid camera with me that could give them instant printouts. And gods, they were all sassy. Especially the girls. They would constantly be doing hilarious and aggressive dance moves and the kind of stares that would make a tiger back up in its tracks. Antananarivo, Madagascar
I was doing a run around this lake (it's about 8 km and a little bit hilly as you can see there on the right), and I noticed how still everything was. It's not always like this… so halfway through the run, I decided to call my assistant Tane and have him bring out my quadcopter and meet me at the terminus. We quickly launched the quad and got some shots like this. I believe this is a panorama made up of four different photos. My drones are so good nowadays, I almost prefer to use them over my regular camera. When it comes to shooting landscape photos, the f-stop isn't very important since you want everything in focus anyway. Also, it has basically the same number of megapixels as my high-end Sony, so there is not a lot of difference. And, as long as you are making panoramas, you can still make prints at least 10 feet across, which is more than big enough for major installations. Arrowtown, New Zealand
Ibiza is a fabulous island off the coast of Spain that is the "in" destination for all the Euros that like to get trashed, party, dress in white, do medium-level-drugs, and stay on the beach without many clothes. I saw this girl bouncing around and very happy about something, so I went over and said hello, introducing myself. She didn't speak much English, but I managed to ask her if I could take a photo of her. She enthusiastically said yes, and I explained the sitch as we walked over to the water, mostly using interpretive dance to span the language gap. She was Italian and her name was Wendy. I think that is a strange name for an Italian, but I didn't question it. Anyway, I asked her just to walk off into the ocean and I would take a photo. She did just that, and I grabbed this shot just as the sun was dipping below the horizon. Ibiza, Spain
