I’ve always wanted to get up here to take a photo! They unfortunately closed it down a few years ago to public access but I managed to speak to the powers that be and talk my way into getting permission. When you look at the hill, it looks pretty easy to climb, but man, it isn’t. I did a longer 2-second exposure here to get some of the light trails as my friends were leaving for the evening to return to Queenstown, which you can see on the right there. Queenstown, New Zealand
Imagine seeing this if you were one of the great sea explorers of yore! This is the entrance to Milford Sound from the Tasman Sea. It would have been so amazing to come across this and wonder what it was like up inside the fjord. And then, the captain could just decide to sail up inside and land some boats on the shore. Maybe if they were a little hungry, they could even grab a few Moas and cook ‘em up. After a long sea voyage, nothing goes down smoother than a Moa. Queenstown, New Zealand
What a view! We spent the whole evening atop the hotel taking photos. Every angle was interesting, but I thought this one was perhaps the most enticing. If you end up getting a room there, be sure to ask for one that has a view of the water so that you can see something like this. I love Vancouver and can’t wait to go back… and I’ll stay here at the Four Seasons next time too… the service was amazing! Good service and a good view, can't beat it as a photographer!
