This is one of the most famous bridges where lovers go to secure a padlock as a symbol of their undying love. I've never done this and I don't know the actual ritual. But, I would assume that they would lock it and then throw the key into the Seine river below. That seems like it would be romantic. Anyway, apparently, the sheer mass of the locks turns out to be a bit of a hazard to the bridge. I never understood this, as I would think the bridge could easily handle the physics of that situation. Either way, officials come by on occasion to cut off the locks. But I wonder if anyone has ever gone down to the bottom of the river to see how many keys are down there on the bottom. Paris, France
Choppy made a stop at the airport in Milford Sound to re-fuel the helicopter so we could keep the flight going longer. It was a super-long day of flying with nearly five hours in the air. I'm not sure how much fuel a helicopter can hold, but we were flying pretty hard so probably about three hours worth... By hard flying, we actually had two helicopters up, one equipped with an awesome externally mounted cinema camera, as we were flying from location to location working on a video project. This was taken on our first night in Hong Kong when they threw a big party for my team at the Ritz-Carlton there. It was the beginning of our Asia-Pacific leg of the photowalk world tour and all the wonderful ladies from that location put together a really nice soiree there in the bar on top of the hotel. The funny thing was, they did it right at sunset, so I kept leaving the party for 5-10 minute stints to go take photos! Hong Kong, China
