I took this photo from the cockpit of a CL-130. It was very lucky to be able to see this massive volcano so clearly! Did you know it is the southernmost active volcano? I often saw it erupt while I was there… I've never seen anything so surreal… a completely ice-white volcano that is always rumbling away. It's just another incredible thing I saw down here that I can't quite put into words.
I don't think there are actually 1,000 bridges in Venice, but there might be! There must be at least 500, and every one of them is quite unique in its own way. I think even the most hardcore photographers at some point puts on blinders… and you cross yet another bridge and you say to himself, “Yet another bridge,” and you don't take a photo. This happens to me a lot there, so now I do kind of force myself to slow down, see what is unique about this particular bridge and canal system, and try to take a shot at it. - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
