I believe the special projection unit they use here is called The Hippo. From my basic understanding, they make a 3D projection-mapping of the surface upon which they are about to project, then make the appropriate extrapolations so they can project “flatly” onto it. There's some mondo math going on there, but the effect is absolutely sensational. I'll be forever grateful to my friend Caleb for getting me back here! Actually we didn't sneak in, as he has some insane level of connections… I was so impressed how he got us in here — really remarkable. And then being here was like a waking dream.
