If you only have a week or so to spend in Japan, I recommend spending an equal amount of time in Tokyo and Kyoto. That way, you get to see the crazy Blade-Runner city side of Tokyo and the pastoral, natural side of Kyoto. I took this photo right in the beginning of Autumn at a temple near Kyoto. By the way, there are about 100 temples just a short drive from the main city, and you can't go wrong with any of them. I was actually a week or two early before the colors really started to change, but you can already see shape of the incredible colors there. What a great day out here in the shallows inside the lagoon of Grand Cayman Island. This is another photo I took with the Mavic! This thing is rock solid in the daytime and with a bit of wind. I will tell you that landing on the catamaran was Very Difficult. I've landed on lots of boats, and each time it takes 200% of my concentration! The Phantom series of quads are much easier to catch because they have more pronounced legs. So, it's easier for a friend (or yourself with one hand) to reach up and grab it. With the Mavic, you only have about half a finger's worth of room before you hit the blades. - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
I know I've been posting a bunch of photos of downtown Tokyo! But I took so many and a lot of them turned out pretty cool. They've all been a thrill to edit in the new Aurora HDR 2018 as well. The tool gets better and faster each year, so it saves me a ton of time during the editing phase. And now, I'm pretty sure I can get results that are different than I used to be able to create. - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
