On one of our morning photo walks, I saw this beautiful tree along the lakefront in Queenstown. I didn't have the right lens, so I took a 2x2 panorama. I merged them together in Photoshop to create the final image. I'm pretty happy with it, but I honestly think it would be better if I had stayed here and wait for the sun to shine through the leaves. Here's a photo from Sydney Harbor. While this huge rubber ducky was here, I took a ton of different photos. This shot is one of my favorites. Organizations don't often "steal" photos I share on the web, but the Sydney newspaper did indeed put this on its front page without asking. I don't sue or anything, but I kind of threaten it. They paid me a little bit of $$. Not that newspapers have a huge warchest or anything as they slowly die away... Sydney, Australia
A few years ago, I went to Australia with Neal Stephenson while he was researching his new book. I'm a great secret keeper, so I can't talk about it. We had a great time... I actually kept track of a lot of stories of our adventures, but I don't want to release them until after his book is out!
