When I was in Ft. Lauderdale, I called my friend Pascha (who helped me with the cancer charity event) and his model girlfriend Katie Ann. They came over for a few hours for a fun photo shoot. I wanted to get a little “gal in Ft. Lauderdale” feel for my shots. I don't do a lot of this sort of thing, but it's fun to experiment and try other things. We were shooting this at the Ritz-Carlton pool and everyone was watching us like it was some kind of an official shoot or something… If I explained how casual and organic the shoot was, they probably would have been disappointed. - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
Speaking of Aurora HDR, I used it to make this photo, which came out rather incredible if I do say so myself! I actually don't like most of my photos. Well, that's not true. I mean I think that most are a bit interesting, but I don't actually “love” many of my photos. But this one I kinda love. I was in the right place at the right time. I got a TON of photos of this incredible mosque and spent a beautiful day here. - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
The detail on the outfits and masks from all over Venice was so incredible! I'm always impressed by the artistry and effort people put into their displays. I'll tell you a secret! Well, maybe that's not the right word… I don't know what the word is. But, maybe like you, I've seen photos of Carnevale in Venice my whole life. Well, I thought the whole time that all of this was actually painted on the face. But it's not… it's all a mask and the only real part is the eyes. Maybe you knew this the entire time, but I did not. But if you've just discovered this for the first time like me, then you know what I mean when it changes everything and the way you see it! - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
