Well, I didn't climb all the way to the top… seemed a bit scary! So I went up just a little bit to get this shot. Everything was certainly very slippery in Antarctica, so I didn't take too many risks. This shot was taken about 3 AM, when the light was the best. I actually wish the sun got lower, but this was about as low as it got! Next time, if I am lucky enough to go again, I think I'll go a month or so earlier so that the sun is not quite so high around this time of night.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
Dark Street with Lanterns in China Here’s another night scene from China a few weeks ago. I’m always a sucker for these Chinese lanterns. They just always seem so authentic, even though I am sure that most of the time they are just strange anachronisms and no longer the most efficient way to light up the area. But, as far as anachronisms go, it’s one of my favorites!- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
Beijing, China. A woman sat alone in a sea of boxes. She stared at the red phone forever, clicking on social media things and then suddenly received a phone call and had to talk to another human. Beijing, China Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
