How amazing is this library? I made a special point to go here while in Tianjin, China. It’s almost an hour outside the city, but it’s totally worth it. There are some secrets about this library I won’t tell you, but you would thank me if you actually knew the secrets! Anyway, it was full of lots of young girls who were taking way more selfies than reading books. Copyright Trey Ratcliff www.StuckInCustoms.com
The commute across the bay in Hong Kong on a rare foggy morning… On our last day here, we took a ferry over to Macau. Right before the ferry, we went through customs because there's still a whole process to go from Hong Kong to Macau, even though they are both technically China. I had to get a multi-pass (Fifth Element Style) entry Visa for China because I'm going in and out so much. I still find the whole customs process to be so slow, especially in light of new tech. Anyway, at least it was a pretty morning! I took this through the window from my room at the Ritz-Carlton. - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
This was the worst year of sandstorms ever at Burning Man. I was in a rather severe one and completely lost, but I kept walking in a random direction, because it was as good as any. Out of the sand came this Japanese tea ceremony. Right after I took this photo, I sat down and was served tea with floating gold leaf. When I was done, he folded up a small piece of origami and gave it to me. Upon it, the message read, "You are a God." Finally! The thing I've always wanted my wife to say was confirmed by this sand-swept Japanese gentleman. Burning Man, Nevada
