Here's a view of the road along the west coast of New Zealand as it heads into the Haast area. It's absolutely epic and I want to do more road trips in this area! You would not necessarily know it from this shot, but the best thing about this part of New Zealand are the trees. There are some of the most Dr. Seuss looking trees as you drive along the road. I wonder. Do they hire interior decorators to design cathedrals? I mean, I guess they must, right? They don't get a bunch of priests and nuns to sketch out something in MSPaint. But then, I was trying to imagine, if I was a guy that was building a cathedral, who exactly would I contact to design a backdrop like this? Just not sure... these are the things I think about.
