I love a good sandstorm at Burning Man! I try to chase all the crazy mini-storms to see what happens. They usually wreak a decent amount of havoc. I love watching the havoc as long as no one gets hurt. In this scene, the storm hit this camp and knocked over the ladder with a huge crash. It barely missed this guy, which of course is great! He jumped up and down with joy afterwards - it was so fun to watch. Burning Man, Nevada
I just spent three days in Milford Sound, New Zealand. This is about a four hour drive from my house. The bad news was there were no clouds for sunset. The good news was there were no clouds for star shots that night! Cliff and I stayed out there quite late to make sure we got all the shots we wanted! For this one, I tried attaching the Nikon 16mm f/2.8 prime via an adapter to my Sony A7r — it was very easy and worked like a charm!- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
We recently found a new place thanks to a hot tip. This amazing truck that is being swallowed by the earth is about 30 minutes past Glenorchy on the way to Kerloch (I think I've spelled that wrong — my apologies). If you start looking along the side of the road for a dilapidated shack, then you’re on the right track. It’s just past a very tiny bridge. You can just park there and walk to the back side to get a view of this. The people that lived in that house didn't seem to mind that I was in their back yard.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
