Aruba has some of the prettiest water I've seen in the world. Well, I guess that's not true because I've been to several places and I'm always like THIS has the prettiest water in the world. There is a beautiful cliff walk in one of the more rugged areas of Bali that features this simple but iconic temple. There were a bunch of tourists around, so this isn't usually my bag, but I figured: why not? So I spent a few hours walking around this area preparing for the final shot... I'm actually not 100% happy with the composition of this shot, but it's the best I could do. If I could go back, I'd take my quadcopter and try a few different looks. I went out around 1 AM one night to capture the Milky Way on a, particularly clear night. It was unbelievably beautiful. One of the key ideas I use when capturing space shots is to make sure there is something vaguely interesting in the foreground. Otherwise, it's just kind of a shot of the stars... we've all seen those a million times, so I've grown to know it's the context that makes it more interesting. Read more: https://stuckincustoms.com
