Singapore can get up to over 100 degrees for a lot of the year, so someone came up with the idea to put cold air conditioning in this outside mall. I think my electricity bill is big, but I can't even imagine what this one is! To tell the truth, I think it only cooled down to about 85, but I guess that is worth it. While we were on the tour across Asia, we ended up in Langkawi at the Ritz-Carlton where they put on a sunset mixology class for us. Man, bartenders really get into all this mixology stuff, and I have no idea what the heck is going on. They explain these esoteric mixes with such authority... I have no idea if it is total BS or if there is actually something to it. I think it's probably a lot like healers or people like this... there are a lot of charlatans, but there are actually a few people that know what they are doing. I feel lucky to have gone to Okinawa twice in one year! Lucky me! Regular readers know I love Japan, and Okinawa is a special little island that has its own little cultural ecosystem. Things are a little bit different here and it’s fun to notice the delta between the two. This is a photo of the Ritz-Carlton where we stayed on both occasions. What a cool spot, eh? It’s also just a short walk down to the beach where you can relax… Most Japanese people don’t go to the beach to relax, but it’s more common down here on this island.
