Here’s an interesting fact about this place. It was actually so cold in here that most men decided to stay on the boat instead. I can certainly attest to how cold it was inside of here. Somehow, it was even colder than outside, but maybe that’s because I was here in the “summer”. The only benefit of being inside is that you get out of the wind. It’s interesting to know this was Scott’s first hut. His second hut made many improvements to this design. If you click on the Antarctica category, you’ll see a lot more.
The trees on the hillside behind Arrowtown in the Autumn are so beautiful. There’s a big autumn festival every year in downtown every year where all the families come out and have a good old fashioned parade. I don’t really like parades. I don’t know why. Other people really seem to enjoy them. I wonder if I am missing something or if I am simply numbed by over-stimulation. But I don’t think that’s true either because I’m a happy camper just to sit there and meditate with nothing happening. I should meditate more on my dislike of parades. I took this photo from a cool tapas restaurant where I had one of my favorite meals in Beijing. I wish I could remember the name to share it with you. I’m a terrible blogger because that’s exactly the kind of information that would be useful to you. I’m really more of a photographer than a blogger, so all my focus was on getting this photo at dusk.
