Awesome Earth People
Big Cities and Little 'uns
This is one of my favorite areas of Beijing. There is a beautiful lake that is surrounded by all sorts of little shops, restaurants, quaint bridges, and tons of interesting people. One of my favorite things to do is go here in the middle of the day, take a ton of photos, then relax in a cafe with my camera with a glass of wine (or two!) and watch everyone go by… still snapping photos. That is a good day!- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
This was a treat to find this guy! We can thank Curtis Simmons for being the spotter here and finding him stalking his prey through the grass in the dark. This is pretty much the tallest cat in the world with the biggest leg length to body ratio. They are extinct in cape regions of South Africa because of loss of habitat, so I felt very lucky to see one!- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
We were at the Google event in Tokyo and we ended up in an area where many Japanese people were walking about in traditional clothing. It was so cool! It reminded me of playing the Sims or something… everything was so quaint and perfect (except for when things go pear-shaped in The Sims). Anyway, I guess I'm used to seeing this kind of traditional garb on older women in Japan, so it was fun to see these pretty young girls wearing them.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
