On the actual day of the photo walk, there was a tremendous thunderstorm. In the 50+ photo walks I've done, there has never been a rain-out. I like to think it is karma, but it's probably just luck. Anyway, on this day, I was 99% sure there would be no photo walk because of the weather, but I was wrong! I went up to the roof of the Ritz-Carlton (where I took this photo), and the sun suddenly came out. I was making a video with Olya. Her dad and mom were there, and, in the middle of the recording, the sun came out and lit everything up. It was amazing, and we were excited because the photo walk was back on! - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
I took this photo a number of years ago. I have been thinking about going back here, but I wonder if it still looks like this. Things change so fast in China and I'm afraid maybe it's lost a lot of its charm. Or maybe its overrun with tourists now. I was only there for 2 days, but now I wish I would have stayed longer because there was a lot more to shoot there. Feng Huang, China
