What's better than spending the evening in an adorable Japanese snowy town, taking photos for most of the night, then heading back to get in some natural hot springs with an Asahi? Not much, I tell ya... not much. I was happy that I decided to stay here two nights rather than rush it. I don't like being rushed from place to place, and I love the idea of ending the day in the hot pools, laughing with random Japanese people. Read more: https://stuckincustoms.com
Man, I have SO MANY photos from this place, but I've hardly processed any of them. This is one that I worked on recently. They are actually very difficult to process, even in HDR, because of the brightness of the sky. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out, but I think I can do better on future ones. We landed at this awesome location just north of Milford Sound to jump out and take some photos. As you can see, the weather was amazing and the light was perfect. It was quite lucky, as there is often a ton of rain pouring in after it crosses the Tasman Sea (the ocean between Australia and New Zealand), so we took the opportunity to take a ton of photos!
