This is a very famous waterfall in Yellowstone National Park. I was there smack dab in the middle of the day, which is just about the worst time to take photos. So be it, Jedi. I got out the old trusty and handy 200-400mm lens to take a shot that might be a bit different. The lens is not that big. It'll fit right in your back pocket, if you're some sort of giant. I had a wonderful week here in Montana. I've been lucky enough to be invited to this private conference here in Yellowstone a couple of times now. We get together and talk about science, art, and Libertarianism... It's a very cool and interesting collection of people! A few nights in, I took a dusk walk around the main cabin. The horses come graze all around the meadow in the evening... I finally convinced one of them to stand still for a bit. Yellowstone, Montana
I think having children has both confused and confirmed me. I notice with my three kids that there is virtually no difference between what is real and what is not. Without effort (quite naturally), they drift between a fantasy world and the real world. In fact, they probably see the truth of it, in that the real world is a construct that "grown-ups" use as a sensible fiction. Grown-ups occasionally drift into the netherworld, but only in certain socially acceptable situations like movies or books. But then, you look at the artificial construct of the world, and one wonders how can a scene like this even exist unless there is no difference between the worlds. Vik, Iceland
