I was in Fjordlands National Park for a few days on a bit of a photo adventure with no real plan. The great Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen said, "Adventure is just bad planning." I had no plan, and I would just sort of amble about the shore line, trying it at different times of the day. And then during low-tide, I went way out into the fjord where I had noticed some lateral water flow to find these temporary folds in the earth. Fjordlands National Park, South Island, New Zealand
This is a scenic and amazing area of southern China. The mountains are right out of a fantasy novel and the light is surreal. I got extremely sweaty and injured getting up into this spot to wait on the sunrise, but I was happy after I arrived.
