While at the festival, we would visit 20-30 different tribes. They all had their unique outfits and singing patterns. There's a big competition with which tribes have the coolest outfits and the coolest song & dance routine. I think the contest is pretty unofficial, but it's still quite competitive. I don't know if the title is factually correct, but it was definitely the only one that I saw! I had a very similar experience during my four trips to Ukraine. It's just not a smiley culture. It's kind of the opposite of Japan where everyone is smiley to the point of being giggly. This sure was a great trip! I think it was rainy and moody almost every day we were filming, but the sun finally came out at the end. It was seriously like 3 weeks with no sun...
