Portraits and People
Big Cities and Little 'uns
We got in a little trouble for this photo, but we can at least claim ignorance. This is one of the biggest and oldest trees in all of Japan. We were here pretty much alone, and I wanted to try to show how big this tree is by having a human there for scale. That's Olya there, who we sent over to climb the tree. She was excited to do it, but when she started, our guide screamed out, “You are not allowed to touch the tree!” So this was the last snap I got as Olya jumped away in shame.
