What a cool idea this was, if I do say so myself! I decided to do a workshop right outside of Paris and we rented this whole chateau for a few days. It wasn't actually as expensive as you might think. It was a little weird for a few reasons. One is that a family was living in one of the corner rooms, but we never saw them. Also, about half of the rooms were abandoned and there was all kinds of creepy stuff inside. It made it even more creepy when we pictured that the family was living in one of those creepy rooms.

Here is kind of a fun idea. I have never done anything like this. I created a fake landscape! Well, kinda. I was interested in trying this new feature in Photoshop where you can do a content-aware crop. But the idea is that you crop outside of the photo, making it bigger. So, the left 60% of this photo is real, but then I dragged the crop way out to the right, and it auto-generated those other mountains. It did a pretty good job, but then I went in there and did some clean up to get rid of the obvious repeated patterns.

Here is a shot from here in Queenstown atop Deer Park Heights. We brought one of our workshops up here early one morning to check out the scene. At the time, there was a Korean Prison built, and you can see it over on the left there. It was used for a totally terrible Disney movie and they just kind of left it up there. There's no way the Department of Conservation would let you get away with that nowadays! I'm pretty sure it's been destroyed now.
