The trees on the hillside behind Arrowtown in the Autumn are so beautiful. There’s a big autumn festival every year in downtown every year where all the families come out and have a good old fashioned parade. I don’t really like parades. I don’t know why. Other people really seem to enjoy them. I wonder if I am missing something or if I am simply numbed by over-stimulation. But I don’t think that’s true either because I’m a happy camper just to sit there and meditate with nothing happening. I should meditate more on my dislike of parades. I took this photo from a cool tapas restaurant where I had one of my favorite meals in Beijing. I wish I could remember the name to share it with you. I’m a terrible blogger because that’s exactly the kind of information that would be useful to you. I’m really more of a photographer than a blogger, so all my focus was on getting this photo at dusk. Only in a place as wealthy as Singapore would they consider an idea like having air conditioning outside. And that is exactly what happens in this eclectic part of the city. Singapore is incredibly hot and humid (reminds me of growing up in Texas). This outdoor shopping area was designed to have cold air blasting out from vents to keep customers from melting. I can't imagine how expensive it is to provide cold air outside of a building, but I imagine the rent for these stores is pretty insane. Copyright Trey Ratcliff www.StuckInCustoms.com
