I was trying to be the last one in The Vessel to get some of these cool dusk shots after the sun set. I like to do this one simple trick where you simply put the camera on the ground (with a wide-angle lens) and shoot straight up in the air with a timer on. The view out of my room at the Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai was absolutely amazing. I could just sit in the easy chair and watch the world go by. One day, a rather wicked storm came blowing through the city. I was about to go out and take photos (I like taking photos in the rain), but it was a little too rainy and stormy... so I decided to have a lazy afternoon and just take photos out the window! My friend Chris Craker has an amazing music studio a bit south of Pattaya in Thailand in a little beach town called Bang Saray. I stayed here for about a week and it was cool to watch so many music artists at work together. I don't really hang out around musicians...
