The Icelandic airport is about an hour south of Reykjavik, but every time I went, I'd spend extra time right around this area because it's some of the best shooting in Iceland. Taking photos here is quite dangerous, especially if your a rock-hoppin kinda guy. I've taken so many spills and had so many injuries over the years that now I am a bit more conservative. There is nothing worse than hobbling through the rest of a photo trip because of some dumb decisions. I also am less risky now because I have kids and lots of people that depend on me to stay alive. I have that same desire in common with them! Keflavik, Iceland
I posted a photo about a week ago from Iceland. I was on an editing-tear recently and I couldn't decide WHICH photo to edit, so I ended up editing both. It's a nice exercise for me to edit two different photos that are of the same subject matter in slightly different ways. It helps me to branch out a little and try slightly different things so I don't get in a rut. Anyway, today I'll be taking family photos like a crazy person… looking forward to that! - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
I was lucky enough to stay here for several nights during my art show in Berlin. We had a fun party up here after the art show as well… there's this one secret bookcase that slides back into the wall. That's always a big hit! I feel bad that I wasn't really there long enough to enjoy it… it was such a beautiful spot, but I was so busy running this way and that, I didn't have a lot of “peaceful relaxation” time… but maybe when I go back! - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
