I was invited to this crazy scene in Beijing. I knew it was gonna be intense before I went, but I did not anticipate the weirdness of it. And it wasn’t a good-kinda weird like Cirque de Soliel. It was the strange-kinda weird where you feel like it was designed by somebody completely insane. Everything was happening all the time… a lot of dangerous stuff too — I have a feeling the Chinese have less stringent safety standards than in the west. - Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
New Zealand is a great place to hike, and this is from a place pretty close to my home in Queenstown. I think one reason it’s great for hiking is because there are so many trails, and most are pretty easy or moderate. I’m actually not into all the hardcore hiking… not for me! But it’s so easy to walkabout and see so much cool stuff.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
I ended up sleeping pretty big chunks of the day because we were just hitting it so hard at night! It’s hard not to with scenery like this all over the place. At night they bring all the gondolas in to park, and they often make mysterious shapes and nice lines in the fading light.- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
